Only fast food Chinese place I'll eat at. Very consistent flavor and freshness. Have been going here for 2-3 years without one problem. I'd recommend a few more eat in tables though. My one complaint would be they out it in to go containers every time no matter how many times you tell them your eating there. A little better communication would probably earn them more business

For take out this is the best Chinese near Tarpon. We order a few times per month and are never disappointed. Kung Pao shrimp and Mongolian beef are great. The Mongolian beef is on par or better than Pf changes. Fast and polite service as well.

I love this place. It's one of my GOTO's when eating out, take-out. Consistent good quality. Freshly made. I love their steam chicken & green veggys when I want to be calorie conscious (ask for no sauce & use their house hot mustard). Hubs GOTO is sesame chicken. I love that diet plate or pepper steak w onion. Great lunch special. Been fun to watch Becky (owners daughter) grow up after all these years. Soon leaving FL for return to home state... This place I'll miss. Have ordered most of the traditional items. Steamed dumplings are good. House special fried rice is awesome. On lunch special ask for shrimp roll instead of egg roll, no add'l cost. Ok, now I'm hungry!

If you're looking for something spicy order the Singapore mei fun noodles with curry. They are spicy and soooo good! My favorite thing to order off the menu!

This place is a hit or miss for me, but my fiance loves this place. We go quite often. Egg Foo Young is good, the fiance loves the chicken wings and we share the boneless spare ribs. General Tso's Chicken is good, but the rest is a hit or miss. Been there a few times for carry out and they forgot to start cooking the food. They advertise they accept American Express, but put up a fight if you even try to use it.

I have no idea what these other reviewers had eaten there, but I am from New York and this place is the only place in the Clearwater area that actually comes the closest, maybe even spot on with its food. I had the Sesame Chicken and General Tao's Chicken and they were AWESOME! The sauce, quality of chicken, everything!! I even went back the next evening to get some more sesame chicken because I was day dreaming about this place while at work. I would definitely go back and recommend this place.

Stopped in on a weekend night to China Taste, which is just a stone's throw off of Hwy 19 N. The interior is common Chinese takeout, very bright and clean, with ~6 tables. The menu is typical of most area takeouts in the area, with a notable exception being a house specialty of roast duck & broccoli with snow peas, water chestnuts, corn, Chinese vegetables, mushrooms, red carrots and bamboo shoots. Order taking was quick in spite of many phone orders that were coming in on this weekend night. I ordered chicken and broccoli with chicken fried rice and egg roll, and it was served up about 5 minutes later....lightning fast, in my experience. The egg roll was quite good, with lots of vegetable flavor, a nice crisp exterior and not greasy at all. The rice was a mixed bag. I loved the texture of the rice...a good texture with short grains that didn't stick together, with a mixture of carrots/peas/onions throughout. The downside was the rice was bland, even though it had a yellowish cast indicating there had been some attempt to kick in some extra taste. And while I appreciated that the rice wasn't coated with so much sauce the rice simply clumps (as many Chinese takeouts seem to do), unfortunately there was just a lack of flavor for my tastes. The chicken & broccoli was another mixed result, with both of those ingredients having very fresh flavors. The downside was the sauce seemed to be one dimensional, with only a single, distinct spice/herb flavor I couldn't place. Almost all takeouts where I've eaten chicken & broccoli they use a similar brown sauce (soy sauce based, often mixed with oyster or hoisin sauce). In my opinion a great Chinese sauce usually hits multiple notes of the five basic flavors (sweet, bitterness, sour, salty, and umami). This sauce was reddish, had no soy/oyster/hoisin flavor, and unfortunately, I wasn't wowed by that single spice/herb flavor. It certainly didn't taste bad, it just didn't taste complete....as if some things were missing. Halfway through the dish I was jonesing for my favorite bottle of sauce from home. Given the fresh ingredients that were well-cooked, I won't be surprised if when I return there may be another dish that hits the spot for me. I'll update my review on my next visit. The scores on my Chinese takeout scale: Atmosphere: 4 Service: 5 Food: 3 Value: 3

I am almost never disappointed with New york style Chinese take-out, but these guys seemed to know just how to do that. Everything is so bland, with the exception of the wonton's in the wonton soup, which were large and very good. They used hardly any seasonings, the tempura batter tasted like water, everything was just blah, not horrendous, but certainly not worth paying anything for. Wont go back.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
